Dr. Maud Marin
Veterinarian
Dr. Marin was born in Montreal, Canada. After graduating from vet school in 1997, she moved to the U.S.A. where she began working with zoo animals. She has traveled a lot to receive specialized training within the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. In 2005 Dr. Marin moved to Houston, TX, and fell in love with the city!
Prior to working at Midtown Veterinary Hospital, she was training veterinary technicians at Pima Medical Institute. In 2021, we welcomed Dr. Marin to our surgical department where she performs most of our surgical and anesthetic procedures. In her free time she loves spending time outdoors, traveling, and working on home-improvement projects!
Norma Sanchez-Diaz
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Office Manager
Norma began working at Midtown Veterinary Hospital in the summer of 2012, and she couldn’t imagine doing any other job. Working with animals has been a lifelong dream that came to fruition when entering the veterinary field in 2010. A graduate of the Vet Tech Institute in Houston, Norma was a Registered Veterinary Technician and is now Office Manager at Midtown.
You can still find her in exam rooms and the surgical suite as some of her passions include dental cleanings/treatments and anesthesia.
In her free time, Norma likes to spend time with her family, husband, and children. She has a family tradition of owning chihuahuas, but her “first-born son” is a four-pound chihuahua named Tiny Dog.
Cassandra
Certified Veterinary Assistant
Cassandra grew up in Houston and has been with us since January 2014. She wears a couple of hats here at Midtown Veterinary Hospital (we’ve since asked her to get rid of those!). When she’s not keeping us current on our safety policies, maintaining accreditation, or preparing our social media content, you’ll find her doing what brought her into veterinary medicine, taking care of pets!
She has her Certified Veterinary Assistant certification and is currently finishing up her licensing studies. Outside of work, she is interested in arts and crafts, watching her favorite shows, and spending time with her cat (Norman), dog (Kat), and boyfriend.
Celene
Veterinary Technician
Celene has been in the veterinary medicine field since 2010 and is a 2019 liberal arts graduate from Texas A&M University. In the clinic, she loves making sure our patients are comfortable and loved while they are in our care. She also loves client education and making sure you leave our hospital feeling that all your questions have been answered.
At home, Celene has two black cats of her own that she adores!
In her free time, she likes going to the gym and spending time with friends and family.
Jenny
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Jenny is thrilled to be working at Midtown Veterinary Hospital! She attended Pima Medical Institute and graduated in May 2019. This is Jenny’s first time working in a veterinary clinic. She grew up in Gwinnett, Georgia, and moved to Houston in 2016 for school. Her professional goals include learning as much as she can from her coworkers, passing the technician licensing exam soon, and possibly specializing in either behavior or dentistry.
Jenny has been writing poetry for seven years and has competed in poetry slams all over the state for the last three years. She even made it to the Women of the World Poetry Slam Qualifiers! Jenny also plays the piano and guitar. She loves to spend time with her family and friends and can’t wait to learn/grow in her career.
B
B is a client turned employee! She has been in the veterinary field for eight years. B has been working on the team at Midtown Veterinary Hospital since 2014 and has enjoyed every second of it! When she is not working at Midtown, she is hanging out with her two very cute dogs, sipping coffee at a local coffee shop, or at the gym!
Beatriz Jiminez
Beatriz has been with us since April 2020, but she’s already an important part of our team! While in the clinic, she enjoys making sure that your pet feels comfortable and safe. If your pet needs a little extra attention, she is happy to oblige!
In her free time, she loves spending time with friends, family, and her dog, Otis!
Francie Meyer
Francie came to us as an extern from the veterinary assistant program at Pima Medical Institute. But, we asked her to continue working with us at the end of her externship! She accepted and has been a full-time assistant with us since May 2020. You’ll probably see her around the clinic, making sure that your pet is happy and comfortable!
She loves to spend her free time with her friends, family, and dog!

Thomas
Front Desk Manager
My name is Thomas, and I am the front desk manager at Midtown Veterinary Hospital. I have held this position since 2014. I am an eight-year-old Boston Terrier who enjoys the finer things in life. This includes napping, playing chase, more napping, and eating carrots. You can usually find me under the front desk or running around the clinic looking for treats to eat. When I’m not hard at work, you can find me with my mom on her many adventures or at home with my sister, Jasmine.
Abbott & Costello, Eugene, Blanche, and Deserey
Here at Midtown Veterinary Hospital, we have a few fish that have become part of our family. They live in the built-in aquarium. You can see them as soon as you walk up to our second floor. They love to greet people (especially when they’re hungry)!
Abbott & Costello: These two usually stick together, as they get along very well. The only thing they like to argue about is who’s going to swim first.
Eugene: You can usually find him at the top of the aquarium, waiting to be fed. He’s always the first to get food!
Blanche: Blanche loves to hang out with Eugene. She thinks she’s an angelfish too!
Deserey: She likes to hang out in weird places! You can find her on the glass, on the underside of the branch, or hiding below!
